Queen Carriage Horse Rides aims to provide leisure horse-drawn carriage rides to adults and children to explore the beautiful and educational streets of Detroit and Southeastern MI. People can take a ride to silently appreciate the excitement of the city or learn the multiple facets of the city that makes it one of the most visited cities. All this can be enjoyed while sitting in a carriage being gently pulled in a sultry rhythm by beautiful and well cared for Percheron horses.
About Our Horses
We have a 19-year-old gelding, brown color coat and blonde mane. He stands at 15 hands and is well trained and safe to be around children. His name is Charlie Brown. He has performed at the annual Michigan Black Horseman high noon ride, private parties, local parades, group trail rides, Thanksgiving day parade and city events.
Bell and Babe are draft horses. Bell recently had a colt..Percheron are draft horse breed. Our percherons are grey in color and weight about 1900 pounds a piece. They are both gray in color. The colt is black. They eat about 100 pounds of hay and 60 pounds of grain..They enjoy pulling our hitch wagon at festivals, carnivals and parades. They spent most of their lives working on the farm in the forestry business. They are often described as gentle giants..
We bring our well cared for Percheron Horses to the event.
